Peekwe may collect account details such as email address, username, verification details, and sign-in records. We may also process profile details, user posts, comments, uploaded media, follow and engagement data, device and technical logs, translation usage records, and notification or device token information.
We use information to operate your account, provide feed and social features, support posting and messaging, protect security, detect spam and abuse, power translation features, send notifications, improve the product, and measure service health through analytics.
Posts created with “I need help” and “I can help” are not shown publicly in the main feed. Peekwe may process this content to produce matches and suggestions, recommend relevant people, prevent abuse, provide safety protections, maintain the service, measure service quality, and support moderation.
“I need help” posts are not displayed in the general main feed or public profile view. “I can help” posts are also not displayed in the general main feed, but they may be shown as suggestion cards to suitable need owners. Users can manage their own hidden posts inside their accounts.
Even if hidden posts are not shown in the main feed, they are not a private diary, an end-to-end encrypted message, or content stored only on the user device. Peekwe systems may process this content so the service can function, produce suggestions, detect abuse, protect safety, and support moderation.
Peekwe may collect limited usage signals related to the hidden post system, such as when a suggestion is shown, when a profile is clicked, when a message action is clicked, and when a match or suggestion is generated. This data may be used to improve recommendation quality, detect abuse, measure system performance, and support user safety.
Hidden posts may be time-limited. Posts that expire or are closed by the user may be removed from the active suggestion system, while some records may be retained for longer when needed for security, abuse prevention, legal obligations, system records, or service integrity.
If you request a translation, the relevant text may be sent to Peekwe’s translation infrastructure so the translation can be produced and shown back to you. Translation usage may also be logged for quality, reliability, and abuse prevention.
Peekwe may rely on infrastructure, hosting, email delivery, push notification, security, and related technical service providers. If Firebase or similar notification services are used, limited technical data such as device tokens may be processed for delivery.
You may request access to your data, correction of inaccurate information, deletion of your account, or support regarding privacy-related questions. You can manage certain profile and privacy settings in the app, and you can contact us at [email protected].
When an account is deleted, profile data, visible content, and active session access are removed from normal product use. Some security, anti-abuse, technical, or legally required logs may be retained for a limited period where necessary.
